Bari Fagin - Biography

Biography & Exhibitions

A native New Yorker, Bari Fagin has spent a lifetime immersed in the creative arts. Her formal training began at the Brooklyn Museum and the Art Students League in NY. From there, Bari attended the esteemed Parsons School of Design where she earned a degree in graphic design. She continued her studies at Cornell University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on painting and printmaking.
These were the springboards that launched her long successful professional career—starting in art direction and publishing and then onto senior leadership positions in marketing, public relations and advertising for a Fortune 500 company.
During her entire corporate career, Bari continued to pursue her passion for fine arts—and starting in 2019, she returned to her creative roots to focus on mixed media and printmaking.
Bari's current body of work reflects a complex technique that involves layering a variety of mediums—including paint, pencil, collage, and multiple image transfers. Since 2022, her work has been featured in exhibitions and numerous juried competitions throughout the greater New York City area (detailed below), as well as exhibited in private collections coast to coast.

In addition to pursuing her art, Bari's main priorities are enjoying life with her husband of 50 years, her children, their families, and her three grandchildren. "I’m blessed that my entire family shares my interest in creative arts. My husband is a potter, so we are lucky to be able to constantly inspire each other and appreciate each other’s work."
